Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hale Grandison got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Naretha's Brannan Monck got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Darley Mcmanamny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Darley Mcmanamny made a precise shot to the right of Carleton Christina. Naretha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Naretha's Hale Grandison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brent Moorby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Jason Berresford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Naretha's Hale Grandison in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kathmandu Academy's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Naretha getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Brannan Monck hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Kathmandu Academy's Ringo Kinsey tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Dario Kennedy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carleton Christina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brent Moorby came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Naretha's Karl Harkness. But to his dismay, Karl Harkness quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hale Grandison in the 30th minute of play forced Kathmandu Academy's goalkeeper Brent Moorby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Naretha got a freekick which was hit by Max Devere. In the 35th minute Darley Mcmanamny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carleton Christina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carleton Christina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Stockwin in the 37th minute of the match. Brent Moorby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Harkness in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kathmandu Academy's zone, Karl Harkness stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brent Moorby came out of the goal and Karl Harkness tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darley Mcmanamny to make the kick off. If Karl Harkness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brent Moorby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hale Grandison in the 55th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Naretha's Hale Grandison made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brent Moorby was left in no man's land by his defense there! Naretha were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Kathmandu Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Herbert Pearce took the corner. Case Allcock was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 69 played minutes Kathmandu Academy got a freekick which was hit by Ringo Kinsey. A collision led to Naretha getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Karl Harkness hit a great ball. Darley Mcmanamny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Karl Harkness managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naretha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Harkness was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
