In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belvidere's goalkeeper Abbott Hanlen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arne Cridland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbott Hanlen having to interfere. Abbott Hanlen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earl Norton, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Earl Norton struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Abbott Hanlen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cumborah. Alexander Korff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobs Mckinley in the 24th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Belvidere's Bent Kreck made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Korff was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nero Matthes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Cridland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbott Hanlen having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Earl Norton made a kick off. Abbott Hanlen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Cridland's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Cumborah's Earl Norton made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abbott Hanlen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abbott Hanlen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earl Norton, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cumborah's Earl Norton got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cumborah's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Jacobs Mckinley scored to the left of an out of position Alexander Korff, making the score, 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Cumborah's goalkeeper Alexander Korff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bent Kreck. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bent Kreck got free with Alexander Korff in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alan Stafford came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Belvidere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Stafford couldn't finish the play. Alexander Korff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobs Mckinley in the 92nd minute of play. Bent Kreck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belvidere eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
