Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Howard Adamson got the match started through his kick off. Jaffery Wakefield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carman Giles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaffery Wakefield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Howie Maciver in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, As Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Dorrell came free, but Jaffery Wakefield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Merriton getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ernest Black hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Howie Maciver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaffery Wakefield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Howie Maciver in the 15th minute of play forced As Roma's goalkeeper Jaffery Wakefield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Phil Dorrell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. If Phil Dorrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mitchell Batterham kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Otto Gwin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaffery Wakefield. As Roma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jaffery Wakefield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnett Barugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute Howie Maciver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaffery Wakefield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Howie Maciver in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaffery Wakefield saved As Roma from getting behind.
