Stewart Hess took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clay Hines. Clay Hines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jasmine Phasey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Pearman having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Northcote's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danton Cordrey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Clay Hines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stewart Hess, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Northcote's goal looked a bit too open when Jasmine Phasey came free, but Dante Pearman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Northcote fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Stewart Hess made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Danton Cordrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Pearman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waroula's Jasmine Phasey got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54thth minute of the game Danton Cordrey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Northcote's Dante Pearman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angus Goodward during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Angus Goodward hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Pinhey kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Danton Cordrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Pearman having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Waroula's Jasmine Phasey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Pearman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jasmine Phasey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danton Cordrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Pearman having to interfere. Northcote's Dante Pearman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasmine Phasey in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Nilson Pinhey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Danton Cordrey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Pearman. Northcote's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danton Cordrey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After having played for 86 minutes, Stewart Hess managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northcote's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stewart Hess was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Jasmine Phasey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Waroula fully deserved thier win.
