THEBOISFC's Brand Norman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Howie Maciver in the 3rd minute of play. Jarrod Christini kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When THEBOISFC's Jared Byrnes in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merriton's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, THEBOISFC's Brand Norman got control of the ball when Phil Dorrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Merriton's Archie Millar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irwin Tisdell in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Irwin Tisdell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Millar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merriton's Kirk Mcenally got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Merriton's goal looked a bit too open when Irwin Tisdell came free, but Archie Millar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brand Norman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Howie Maciver, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 46th minute, Jared Byrnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The THEBOISFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jared Byrnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Jared Byrnes took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Archie Millar to make any attempt to save it. Irwin Tisdell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Millar having to interfere. Jared Byrnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brand Norman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, THEBOISFC's Jared Byrnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Archie Millar narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
