Bent Kreck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abbott Hanlen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasmine Phasey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abbott Hanlen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasmine Phasey in the 32nd minute of the match. Jasmine Phasey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abbott Hanlen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacobs Mckinley to strike the kick off in the second half. Belvidere's Jacobs Mckinley got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Waroula's Clay Hines got control of the ball when Bent Kreck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abbott Hanlen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arty Weeks in the 90th minute of play. If Jacobs Mckinley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waroula's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
