Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bryan Brotherton made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Montacute was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Trevena to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryan Brotherton got free with Benjy Nelson in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 4 minutes into the game, Neil Bunworth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjy Nelson. Neil Bunworth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Waaia booed when Montacute was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Goodbun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryan Brotherton struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Benjy Nelson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waaia. Bryan Brotherton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjy Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Neil Bunworth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjy Nelson was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Waaia's Jacobs Auger got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Bryan Brotherton came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Waaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryan Brotherton couldn't finish the play. Benjy Nelson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alford Rann in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Bryan Brotherton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Benjy Nelson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan Brotherton in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Alford Rann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjy Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nick Trevena fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montacute's protests and gave Nick Trevena a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the match, Waaia's Buchanan Fessa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjy Nelson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montacute's goalkeeper Benjy Nelson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bryan Brotherton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alford Rann in the 40th minute of play forced Montacute's goalkeeper Benjy Nelson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryan Brotherton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 42nd playminute. After 47 played minutes Montacute got a freekick which was hit by Tom Goodbun. Bryan Brotherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Benjy Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Brian Conlan made the kick off in the second half. Brian Conlan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Neil Bunworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benjy Nelson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Waaia booed when Montacute was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Goodbun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjy Nelson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryan Brotherton went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Bryan Brotherton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82ndth minute of the game Bryan Brotherton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montacute's Benjy Nelson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bryan Brotherton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Waaia's Alford Rann in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montacute's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neil Bunworth in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjy Nelson saved Montacute from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Alford Rann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montacute's Benjy Nelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Brotherton in the 97th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Waaia had played much better football throughout.
