Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bryan Brotherton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Bryan Brotherton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waaia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 5th match minute, Waaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howard Smoothey to maneuver through the defense. Bart Schenck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Brotherton, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Lorimer Newton's late challenge caught a Waaia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorimer Newton helped the player get up and apologised. Lorimer Newton hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Bryan Brotherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bart Schenck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Waaia booed when Goondi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthews Fitzsimmons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryan Brotherton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute Alford Rann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Schenck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chuck Chamberlain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Goondi's Parker Mudie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Parker Mudie got free with Earle Rhoades in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waaia's Earle Rhoades proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Waaia from getting a goal against them. Bart Schenck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Brotherton in the 26th minute of play. Bart Schenck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Bunworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Goondi's zone, Bryan Brotherton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Schenck came out of the goal and Bryan Brotherton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alford Rann in the 31st minute of play forced Goondi's goalkeeper Bart Schenck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorimer Newton kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Bryan Brotherton made a precise shot to the right of Bart Schenck. Goondi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Waaia getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Neil Bunworth hit a great ball. Earle Rhoades made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Odonahoo in the 37th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Parker Mudie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goondi and the Waaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Parker Mudie hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Bart Schenck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alford Rann in the 40th minute of the match. Bart Schenck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alford Rann in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Goondi getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Chuck Chamberlain hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Odonahoo to make the kick off. When Waaia's Neil Bunworth in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goondi's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Waaia booed when Goondi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Benton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bryan Brotherton got free in front of the goal in the 59th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bart Schenck was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Goondi's Bart Schenck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alford Rann in the 62nd minute of play. Bryan Brothertons short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Bart Schenck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Earle Rhoades showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Odonahoo in the 67th minute of the match. Michael Odonahoo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Earle Rhoades tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Odonahoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Earle Rhoades came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Goondi's Michael Odonahoo. But to his dismay, Michael Odonahoo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Bryan Brotherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Bart Schenck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Alford Rann notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Goondi's Bart Schenck. Bart Schenck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bart Schenck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alford Rann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bryan Brotherton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Alford Rann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Goondi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Waaia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
