Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darell Mccormick in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Buck Mcgaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When blackwoood's Roy Didlick in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maya's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 played minutes Maya got a freekick which was hit by Stan Foley. Blake Locke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Bradshaw Hunter made a huge save. When blackwoood's Roy Didlick in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maya's goalie prevented a goal. Buck Mcgaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Fasey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes blackwoood got a freekick which was hit by Potter Parryman. When Maya's Jason Fasey in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye blackwoood's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th match minute, blackwoood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Phillips to maneuver through the defense. Maya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Roy Didlick scored to the left of an out of position Bradshaw Hunter, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meyer Cubitt in the 23rd minute of play forced blackwoood's goalkeeper Buck Mcgaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Meyer Cubitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but blackwoood's Buck Mcgaw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Meyer Cubitt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Buck Mcgaw was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Peter Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bradshaw Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jason Fasey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buck Mcgaw having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Meyer Cubitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but blackwoood's Buck Mcgaw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Meyer Cubitt to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, blackwoood's Boyd Worrall got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Meyer Cubitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maya getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Meyer Cubitt hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blake Locke in the 62nd minute of play forced Maya's goalkeeper Bradshaw Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Didlick scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradshaw Hunter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, blackwoood's Roy Didlick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bradshaw Hunter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Buck Mcgaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meyer Cubitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 83 played minutes, blackwoood's Boyd Worrall shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bradshaw Hunter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in blackwoood reached it. Maya's Bradshaw Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Didlick in the 85th minute of play. Blake Locke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bradshaw Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Didlick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradshaw Hunter having to interfere. Blake Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. blackwoood's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
