The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 9 played minutes Badgen got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Slattery. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Holdsworth in the 16th minute of play forced Maya's goalkeeper Bradshaw Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddy Holdsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Bradshaw Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mack Fitton kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Badgen's Laurence Grigson got control of the ball when Jason Fasey tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Badgen's Eddy Holdsworth in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maya's goalie prevented a goal. Mack Fitton's late challenge caught a Maya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mack Fitton helped the player get up and apologised. After 34th play minutes Arthur Egel shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Bradshaw Hunter and just under the crossbar into goal. When Meyer Cubitt came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Maya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meyer Cubitt couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Jason Fasey from a close distance when the talented Laurence Grigson managed to make a qualified save. Badgen's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Badgen's Mack Fitton got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Maya players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Badgen were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Holdsworth was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Egel got free with Bradshaw Hunter in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Arthur Egel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mack Fitton hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Meyer Cubitt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maya's supporters rose to their feet, but Meyer Cubitt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurence Grigson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddy Holdsworth's late challenge caught a Maya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddy Holdsworth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Badgen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Holdsworth to maneuver through the defense. Barnes Nolan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laurence Grigson. Badgen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Badgen's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Fasey came free, but Laurence Grigson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Jason Fasey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurence Grigson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Arthur Egel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Laurence Grigson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Fasey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Badgen getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nicholas Franklin hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Meyer Cubitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Meyer Cubitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurence Grigson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meyer Cubitt in the 95th minute of play. The Badgen players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Maya from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
