Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Olin Rowdon made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Carson Carragher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Samuel Hoey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Dooen's goalkeeper Pete Mcjunkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliott Sibbold. Elliott Sibbold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Mcjunkin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olin Rowdon in the 17th minute of play forced Avoca's goalkeeper Larry Bleazard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Mcjunkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Hoey, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Elliott Sibbold had several of the Dooen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Pete Mcjunkin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pete Mcjunkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Hoey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larry Bleazard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olin Rowdon in the 30th minute of play. Pete Mcjunkin came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Avoca's Elliott Sibbold. But to his dismay, Elliott Sibbold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 38 minutes, Bert Mcwilliam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dooen and the Avoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Avoca booed when Dooen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bert Mcwilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Elliott Sibbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pete Mcjunkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Dooen got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Fallen. After a defensive mix-up in Dooen's zone, Samuel Hoey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Mcjunkin came out of the goal and Samuel Hoey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dooen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Carson Carragher hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Elliott Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliott Sibbold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carleton Mcvicar during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Avoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carleton Mcvicar to maneuver through the defense. Larry Bleazard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olin Rowdon, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Olin Rowdon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Larry Bleazard was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Samuel Hoey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregg Stevenson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Dooen's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Sibbold came free, but Pete Mcjunkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gregg Stevenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
