Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cole Connell made the kick off which started today's match. After 8 minutes of play, Newtown FC's Cole Connell made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nichol Czaczka was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angus Royans in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichol Czaczka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Newtown FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Newtown FC's Carl Locke looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Karrabin's zone, Cole Connell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichol Czaczka came out of the goal and Cole Connell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angus Royans hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Karrabin booed when Newtown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Locke didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cole Connell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angus Royans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Clifford Mosley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Nunn. Newtown FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clifford Mosley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Clifford Mosley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Newtown FC's Carl Locke got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Alford Bodimeade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Nunn having to interfere. Carl Locke hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Alford Bodimeade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hank Kuskoff kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Benney Rizzardo's late challenge caught a Newtown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benney Rizzardo helped the player get up and apologised. Benney Rizzardo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karrabin's goalkeeper Nichol Czaczka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Benney Rizzardo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Karrabin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benney Rizzardo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Karrabin getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jasmine Kanack hit a great ball. Nichol Czaczka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cole Connell in the 76th minute of play. Cole Connell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Nunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clifford Mosley in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Newtown FC's Angus Royans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nichol Czaczka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Angus Royans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
