The crowd rose to their feet as Crawford Brophy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Weeks. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crawford Brophy in the 11th minute of play forced EVATT's goalkeeper Roger Weeks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to EVATT getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Angus Sobczak hit a great ball. The Bungeluke fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Bungeluke's Crawford Brophy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EVATT reached it. Blade Sibbold hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute EVATT were awarded a corner. Myles Trevena went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 46th minute of the match, Barnett Awege got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roger Weeks was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Handley Boylin was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to EVATT getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Handley Boylin hit a great ball. 2-1 became the score in the 68th minute when Handley Boylin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bungeluke's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Handley Boylin scored to the left of an out of position Alford Kuch, making the score, 2-2. Crawford Brophy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Weeks having to interfere. Alford Kuch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Handley Boylin's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. A hard shot 84 in the game by Randolph Pfingst from a close distance when the talented Alford Kuch managed to make a qualified save. Bungeluke's players were relieved. Handley Boylin might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alford Kuch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Handley Boylin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, EVATT's Angus Sobczak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alford Kuch. Alford Kuch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3.
