Silverspur
Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andy Pegler got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Silverspur defense, Arne Cookesley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Minne. The Silverspur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Minne should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute of the match Eliot Mcquinn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brandon Minne showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brandon Minne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Cookesley in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Cookesley in the 17th minute of play forced Silverspur's goalkeeper Brandon Minne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brandon Minne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobs Burton, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, Silverspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caine Mapps to maneuver through the defense. Jacobs Burton hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Cookesley in the 26th minute of play forced Silverspur's goalkeeper Brandon Minne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stapylton's Jacobs Burton got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Caine Mapps fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silverspur's protests and gave Caine Mapps a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Silverspur got a freekick which was hit by Caine Mapps. Jacobs Burton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Jacobs Burton made a precise shot to the right of Brandon Minne. Silverspur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Arne Cookesley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Cookesley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brandon Minne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Stapylton's Arne Cookesley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brandon Minne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Arne Cookesley put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Brandon Minne. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jacobs Burton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stapylton's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobs Burton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Minne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arne Cookesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Brandon Minne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Silverspur players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stapylton were winning 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Cookesley to make the kick off. Arne Cookesley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brandon Minne having to interfere. In the game's 55th minute Stapylton's Bleyd Collings took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Brandon Minne and thus the score was 0-5. Brandon Minne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Cookesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Arne Cookesley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brandon Minne, 0-6. 66 minutes into the match, Silverspur's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Cookesley came free, but Brandon Minne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Cookesley was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Stapylton's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arne Cookesley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brandon Minne came out and tried to block the shot, but Arne Cookesley slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 69th minute. Silverspur's Brandon Minne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Silverspur from getting a goal against them. Brandon Minne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Cookesley's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. The Stapylton fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Stapylton's Jacobs Burton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Arne Cookesley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobs Burton struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Brandon Minne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stapylton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Cookesley in the 85th minute of play forced Silverspur's goalkeeper Brandon Minne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Silverspur defense, Jacobs Burton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Minne. The Silverspur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Minne should have stopped the shot. Antonio Dearn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Brandon Minne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If James Byrnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stapylton's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
