Stapylton's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bleyd Collings in the 21st minute. Arne Cookesley made a great header on Stapylton's corner, it was just that Pingaring's Bill Gannan managed to reach the ball for a save. Jacobs Burton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bill Gannan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Stapylton defense, Conner Tebby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobie Wadley. The Stapylton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobie Wadley should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Cookesley to make the kick off. Tobie Wadley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Tebby in the 56th minute of play. Bill Gannan came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Stapylton's Arne Cookesley. But to his dismay, Arne Cookesley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jacobs Burton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bill Gannan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darell Lovis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Jacobs Burton sped through Pingaring's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bill Gannan. Antonio Dearn kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bill Gannan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobs Burton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stapylton's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Cookesley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Gannan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jacobs Burton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Pingaring got a freekick which was hit by Pearce Aroege. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conner Tebby in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobie Wadley saved Stapylton from getting behind.
