In the 18th minute, Ellis Cordrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Ellis Cordrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jemmett Buckland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mooralla getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cole Newton hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Cole Newton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mooralla's supporters rose to their feet, but Cole Newton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raymond Brading sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Mooralla's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ellis Cordrey 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ellis Cordrey in the 37th minute of play forced Mooralla's goalkeeper Jemmett Buckland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ellis Cordrey struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jemmett Buckland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenorie. Raymond Brading received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jemmett Buckland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ellis Cordrey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ellis Cordrey to make the kick off. In the 79th match minute, Mooralla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cole Newton to maneuver through the defense. Jemmett Buckland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Brading, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Glenorie's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
