The Olin Ward was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Byron Frew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Pinhey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Olin Ward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Pinhey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olin Ward having to interfere. A hard shot 24 in the game by Byron Frew from a close distance when the talented Edwardo Keato managed to make a qualified save. Goat United's players were relieved. 25 minutes into the game, Ivan Stevenson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goat United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nanneella the free kick. A collision led to Goat United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ivan Stevenson hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Alan Cuddihy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nanneella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Cuddihy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goat United's Edwardo Keato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Cuddihy in the 28th minute of play. Edwardo Keato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Byron Frew in the 29th minute. After 32 played minutes, Goat United's Bernard Brady shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olin Ward came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goat United reached it. Dakota Cootes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nanneella's goalkeeper Olin Ward, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nanneella's Dakota Cootes got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nanneella's zone, Alan Pinhey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olin Ward came out of the goal and Alan Pinhey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eddy Bromfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goat United's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Bromfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olin Ward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Eddy Bromfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olin Ward was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Benney Krause charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benney Krause the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benney Krause kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Cuddihy was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Alan Pinhey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Ward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nanneella's Reese Delahide got a free kick in the 54th minute. Edwardo Keato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Cuddihy, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Goat United getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dallas Szobczak hit a great ball. Nanneella's Byron Frew got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute of the match Benney Krause shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edwardo Keato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olin Ward showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Pinhey in the 65th minute of the match. Olin Ward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Pinhey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Pinhey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olin Ward having to make a save. Nanneella's Dwight Crampton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwardo Keato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
