Aden Sayner's late challenge caught a Kelmia Jets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kelmia Jets's attentive Nathaniel Gissane managed to snatch the ball when Herbert Wakefield made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. Bern Raison struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Dalwood Mcroberts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kelmia Jets. When Bern Blattman came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Septimus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bern Blattman couldn't finish the play. After 18 minutes, Quincy Castner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelmia Jets and the Septimus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Kelmia Jets got a freekick which was hit by Quincy Castner. After 21 minutes, Bern Blattman made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kelmia Jets's Rodney Fessa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Quincy Castner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodney Fessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Turner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathaniel Gissane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bern Blattman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rodney Fessa made a huge save. In the 45th minute of the match Septimus got a corner. Kelmia Jets's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brant Mcjenkins ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Septimus's Brant Mcjenkins to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodney Fessa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute, Septimus's Archie Jobson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nathaniel Gissane to make the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Septimus's Brant Mcjenkins tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Septimus's Dalwood Mcroberts got control of the ball when Bern Raison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bern Blattman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rodney Fessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Carman Kile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kelmia Jets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carman Kile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bern Raison might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalwood Mcroberts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bern Raison ran back to his position shaking his head. Danton Dillon might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalwood Mcroberts. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nathaniel Gissane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kelmia Jets's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathaniel Gissane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalwood Mcroberts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Septimus getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Kirby Fessey hit a great ball.
