The tension between the Chelsea and the Woolwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nash Cuddihy to maneuver through the defense. Woolwich's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Norman Krause 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Paz Staggard's late challenge caught a Chelsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paz Staggard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Paz Staggard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrizio Cubitt kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Eden Quinane charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eden Quinane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Darren Rennie was a little too slow when Norman Krause got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 4-0. When Chelsea's Norman Krause in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woolwich's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nash Flesfader was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Nash Flesfader got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Williams hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Barry Lonergan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Rennie having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Norman Krause left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chelsea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Darren Rennie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eden Quinane in the 67th minute of the match. Barry Lonergan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Rennie having to interfere. Woolwich's Darren Rennie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Krause in the 73rd minute of play. Barry Lonergan scored 6-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Darren Rennie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Barry Lonergan fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Barry Lonergan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Barry Lonergan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Darren Rennie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Lonergan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norman Krause received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Darren Rennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barry Lonergan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Rennie having to interfere. If Marshall Finden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Chelsea were the better team. Chelsea's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
