Laurence Cudmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the game, Elliott Riley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darren Rennie. Elliott Riley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Marshall Finden struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Chuck Petersen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woolwich. Carsyn Burmeister hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Laurence Cudmore took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Darren Rennie to make any attempt to save it. Darren Rennie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliott Riley, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Woolwich's Darren Rennie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Woolwich from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Elliott Riley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Rennie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Riley in the 44th minute of play forced Woolwich's goalkeeper Darren Rennie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Darren Rennie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rob Murphy's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Rob Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rob Murphy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irwin Hoskin hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Laurence Cudmore took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darren Rennie. Darren Rennie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elliott Riley in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darren Rennie saved Woolwich from getting behind. Darren Rennie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nash Flesfader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuck Petersen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Woolwich's Steve Calver got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 89th minute Elliott Riley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Rennie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Woolwich's zone, Elliott Riley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darren Rennie came out of the goal and Elliott Riley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rob Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Rennie having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Yea players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
