In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Daveyston's goalkeeper Henry Eversden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Max Sedgman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Boothey in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Eavan Hilton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Eversden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brent Boothey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Max Sedgman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daveyston's Brent Boothey got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Berne Mogork came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fanning fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berne Mogork couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the game, Brent Boothey lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Max Sedgman. The supporters of Fanning booed when Daveyston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cod Ziliotto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Jonathan Hauschildt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daveyston's Henry Eversden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berne Mogork in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berne Mogork stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Preston Carberry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berne Mogork sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Daveyston had played much better football throughout.
