A collision led to Ubobo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Neville Telfer hit a great ball. Arty Veitch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barth Merz in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Hopevale's Bevis Wenham got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Martin Haeberle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Davey Maslin skillfully saved the ball. Andrews Nelson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiger Vickery in the 26th minute of play forced Ubobo's goalkeeper Arty Veitch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hopevale getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Neil Pearse hit a great ball. Hopevale's Davey Maslin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrews Nelson in the 29th minute of play. Jonty Mckay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Davey Maslin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Martin Haeberle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ubobo and the Hopevale players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Haeberle kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Quade Markwell charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quade Markwell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Ubobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Markwell to maneuver through the defense. When Hopevale's Tiger Vickery in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ubobo's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiger Vickery stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrews Nelson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Davey Maslin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd match minute, Hopevale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Pearse to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Hopevale's zone, Andrews Nelson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davey Maslin came out of the goal and Andrews Nelson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Davey Maslin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonty Mckay in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Ubobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Markwell to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Ubobo's goal looked a bit too open when Tiger Vickery came free, but Arty Veitch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Isaac Hopkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hopevale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Hopkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrews Nelson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Davey Maslin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ubobo. A collision led to Hopevale getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Damon Sanderson hit a great ball. Damon Sanderson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 minutes of play, Hopevale's Tiger Vickery made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arty Veitch was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ubobo booed when Hopevale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiger Vickery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrews Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davey Maslin made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Andrews Nelson sent off a good shot on target. After 96 played minutes Ubobo got a freekick which was hit by Quade Markwell. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ubobo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hopevale.
