Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Neil Hoey made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience was convinced that Neil Hoey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darin Veitch was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Crawford Galvin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palana's goalkeeper Darin Veitch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Palana's Darin Veitch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Triplett in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Palana's Max Worsley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Meyer Murphy notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Wapengo's Crawford Galvin. Crawford Galvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 25 minutes, Max Worsley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Worsley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brice Fraser during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Wapengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brice Fraser to maneuver through the defense. Crawford Galvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Worsley in the 29th minute of the match. Bill Triplett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darin Veitch having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Palana's zone, Bill Triplett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darin Veitch came out of the goal and Bill Triplett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Crawford Galvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Worsley in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Hoey in the 43rd minute of play forced Palana's goalkeeper Darin Veitch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Crawford Galvin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Meyer Murphy sent off a good shot on target. Brice Fraser kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Max Worsley tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Crawford Galvin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Worsley in the 47th minute of play forced Wapengo's goalkeeper Crawford Galvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Palana booed when Wapengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Boyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Neil Hoey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fleming Shipp's late challenge caught a Wapengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fleming Shipp helped the player get up and apologised. Crawford Galvin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Worsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, Palana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fleming Shipp to maneuver through the defense. Palana's Darin Veitch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Hoey in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bill Triplett got free with Darin Veitch in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dallas Kayrooz's late challenge caught a Wapengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dallas Kayrooz helped the player get up and apologised. If Bill Triplett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palana were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wapengo for a fine match.
