Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Berne Mogork made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fleming Shipp during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fanning booed when Palana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fleming Shipp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Berne Mogork had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darin Veitch. Palana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berne Mogork was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Palana's Max Worsley in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fanning's goalie prevented a goal. When Meyer Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Palana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meyer Murphy couldn't finish the play. Max Sedgman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Worsley in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Palana booed when Fanning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendan Mckay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Worsley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. After 24 played minutes, Fanning's Eavan Hilton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darin Veitch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fanning reached it. Brendan Mckay charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendan Mckay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fanning getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Brendan Mckay hit a great ball. Ryan Wivell, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fanning! The goalkeeper, Max Sedgman, was totally fooled by Palana's Ryan Wivell, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a little luck, Fanning's Max Sedgman got control of the ball when Meyer Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Max Sedgman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Worsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fanning's Max Sedgman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meyer Murphy in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Max Worsley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Meyer Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Palana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meyer Murphy couldn't finish the play. Brice Feutrill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Darin Veitch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darin Veitch was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jagger Christini. Brice Feutrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Fanning's Brice Feutrill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darin Veitch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Palana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Tresise to maneuver through the defense. Meyer Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Palana getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Fleming Shipp hit a great ball. If Max Worsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meyer Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Max Worsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Sedgman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Max Worsley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Sedgman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fanning players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palana.
