Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Daveyston's Brent Boothey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paul Tresise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent Boothey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Buck Fordham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Eversden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 1-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Grant Mcmillan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Daveyston got a freekick which was hit by Cod Ziliotto. Grant Mcmillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudy Bundy hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Benedict Connell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henry Eversden. Daveyston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henry Eversden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grant Mcmillan's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Buck Fordham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yalpunga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Buck Fordham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Mcmillan in the 58th minute of play forced Daveyston's goalkeeper Henry Eversden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buck Fordham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Rudy Bundy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buck Fordham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Eversden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Bryden Schutt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 72 minutes into the match, Daveyston's goalkeeper Henry Eversden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Buck Fordham. Grant Mcmillan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Eversden having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Grant Mcmillan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Daveyston's Henry Eversden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daveyston's Henry Eversden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Daveyston from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Daveyston's zone, Buck Fordham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Eversden came out of the goal and Buck Fordham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daveyston's Henry Eversden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Mcmillan in the 89th minute of play. Henry Eversden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Mcmillan in the 90th minute of the match. Buck Fordham struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Henry Eversden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yalpunga. Henry Eversden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Mcmillan in the 93rd minute of play. Yalpunga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
