Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Birrell Giddey started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Marshal Kuch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Tyalgum's Birrell Giddey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milton Obrien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stan Delahide scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milton Obrien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Tyalgum's Stan Delahide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milton Obrien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Birrell Giddey scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milton Obrien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Birrell Giddey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stan Delahide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Obrien having to interfere. Stan Delahide struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Milton Obrien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tyalgum. Stan Delahide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Homerton's Milton Obrien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Delahide in the 44th minute of play. Milton Obrien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birrell Giddey in the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Homerton got a freekick which was hit by Benjy Weller. Stan Delahide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Milton Obrien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Homerton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tyalgum were winning 0-3.

In the 56th minute Birrell Giddey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Obrien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birrell Giddey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Obrien having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mack Greenan during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Tyalgum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Homerton:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Homerton. Brant Beckwith stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernest Rowden. 1-3. When Jaffery Andrews fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tyalgum's protests and gave Jaffery Andrews a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tyalgum getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jaffery Andrews hit a great ball. Brookes Brennan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Stan Delahide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Obrien having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bickford Dollimore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tyalgum's supporters rose to their feet, but Bickford Dollimore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milton Obrien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Marshal Kuch fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Homerton's protests and gave Marshal Kuch a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Homerton got a freekick which was hit by Marshal Kuch. 91 minutes into the game, Tyalgum's Stan Delahide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milton Obrien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 96th minute, Jaffery Andrews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 99 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tyalgum! Tyalgum's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
