Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Birrell Giddey made the kick off which started today's match. Ned Miels kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Stan Delahide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Birrell Giddey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Geringong's Niles Didlock got control of the ball when Stan Delahide tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernest Rowden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corey Beverley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Corey Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Rowden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olin Keam in the 30th minute of play. Niles Didlock had great luck who in the 36thth minute grab hold of the ball when Birrell Giddey from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jaffery Andrews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birrell Giddey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Niles Didlock came out and tried to block the shot, but Birrell Giddey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 40th minute. Birrell Giddey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niles Didlock having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Corey Beverley made the kick off in the second half. Birrell Giddey took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niles Didlock. Niles Didlock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 59 minutes into the game, Andres Petty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geringong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tyalgum the free kick. After a rather tough play, Geringong's Andres Petty got a free kick in the 59th minute. Stan Delahide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niles Didlock having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Delahide in the 62nd minute of play forced Geringong's goalkeeper Niles Didlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niles Didlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birrell Giddey in the 65th minute of play. Olin Keam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olin Keam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Rowden having to interfere. In the 79th minute Birrell Giddey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niles Didlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Geringong's zone, Birrell Giddey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niles Didlock came out of the goal and Birrell Giddey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tyalgum's Mack Greenan got a free kick in the 86th minute. Niles Didlock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stan Delahide's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Birrell Giddey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tyalgum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birrell Giddey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geringong's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
