Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antony Jeffress started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Stan Delahide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tyalgum's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Delahide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boris Carberry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Springdallah's zone, Stan Delahide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Carberry came out of the goal and Stan Delahide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Antony Jeffress managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Springdallah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antony Jeffress was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tyalgum's Mack Greenan got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Darley Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springdallah's supporters rose to their feet, but Darley Brennan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Rowden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Stan Delahide left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tyalgum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Stan Delahide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boris Carberry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Boris Carberry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birrell Giddey, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Stan Delahide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Carberry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birrell Giddey's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Barnes Muller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Jaffery Andrews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Springdallah's Darley Brennan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernest Rowden. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. Darley Brennan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Ernest Rowden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Springdallah booed when Tyalgum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mack Greenan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Springdallah fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The Springdallah players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tyalgum were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Birrell Giddey to make the kick off. Jaffery Andrews charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaffery Andrews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tyalgum's Jaffery Andrews got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Stan Delahide came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Tyalgum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stan Delahide couldn't finish the play. If Birrell Giddey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Rowden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antony Jeffress's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Stan Delahide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tyalgum's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Delahide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boris Carberry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Springdallah's Darley Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antony Jeffress received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ernest Rowden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Abbott Kreck fired a really elegant long shot, but Boris Carberry threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Ernest Rowden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Jeffress, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birrell Giddey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Carberry having to interfere. Christopher Voller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Boris Carberry. Springdallah's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Springdallah's Darley Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Birrell Giddey in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boris Carberry saved Springdallah from getting behind. Boris Carberry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birrell Giddey, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tyalgum had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
