With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antony Jeffress in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niles Didlock saved Geringong from getting behind. Andres Petty hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Geringong's zone, Darley Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niles Didlock came out of the goal and Darley Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antony Jeffress fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niles Didlock having to interfere. Antony Jeffress sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Unicomb during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Lewis Unicomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Corey Beverley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geringong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corey Beverley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geringong's Niles Didlock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Geringong from getting a goal against them. Antony Jeffress sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Iggy Bowen fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Springdallah's protests and gave Iggy Bowen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Springdallah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iggy Bowen to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Corey Beverley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Olin Keam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darley Brennan scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niles Didlock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Neil Missen fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Springdallah's protests and gave Neil Missen a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Geringong's Niles Didlock got control of the ball when Darley Brennan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corey Beverley scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boris Carberry, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 played minutes Springdallah got a freekick which was hit by Iggy Bowen. After 53 played minutes Geringong got a freekick which was hit by Andres Petty. The supporters of Geringong booed when Springdallah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Markou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corey Beverley in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boris Carberry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Springdallah's Iggy Bowen got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Darley Brennan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Geringong's Niles Didlock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barnes Muller kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Corey Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Carberry having to interfere. Sam Orourke kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A hard shot 83 in the game by Olin Keam from a close distance when the talented Boris Carberry managed to make a qualified save. Springdallah's players were relieved. When Corey Beverley came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Geringong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corey Beverley couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Geringong had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
