When Brand Millgate fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tonga's protests and gave Brand Millgate a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Tonga got a freekick which was hit by Brand Millgate. 18 minutes into the match, Andy Johnson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlisle Baxter. Pembroke FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andy Johnson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 39 played minutes Pembroke FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Kepert. Jamese Bleazard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Stevens in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Tonga getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Braedan Maddern hit a great ball. 49 minutes into the match, Pembroke FC's Stan Stevens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamese Bleazard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Pembroke FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tonga were winning 1-2.

In the 53rd minute Martyon Palmington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamese Bleazard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Martyon Palmington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamese Bleazard was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Stan Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Tonga defense, Stan Stevens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jamese Bleazard. The Tonga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamese Bleazard should have stopped the shot. Carlisle Baxter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Johnson in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martyon Palmington in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jamese Bleazard saved Tonga from getting behind. Andy Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Carlisle Baxter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Stan Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pembroke FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Stevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamese Bleazard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlisle Baxter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andy Johnson went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Martyon Palmington's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jamese Bleazard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martyon Palmington in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jamese Bleazard saved Tonga from getting behind. Carlisle Baxter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brand Millgate showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 91 minute of play.
