The supporters of Murmungee booed when Carlton F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ringo Mcvicar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donovan Wege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Obrien in the 10th minute of the match. If Irwin Lingwoodock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ringo Mcvicar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Brynn Dowsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryanne Sinden took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donovan Wege. Donovan Wege dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryanne Sinden in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donovan Wege saved Carlton F.C from getting behind. Aden Grieve charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aden Grieve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Aden Grieve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Brayden Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brynn Dowsing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brayden Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Bryanne Sinden struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Donovan Wege didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murmungee. Rich Barugh's late challenge caught a Murmungee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rich Barugh helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryanne Sinden made a kick off. Bryanne Sinden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Donovan Wege made a huge save. Carlton F.C's Donovan Wege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryanne Sinden in the 54th minute of play. After 54 minutes of play Carlton F.C's Rich Barugh was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Murmungee booed when Carlton F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rich Barugh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Carlton F.C defense, James Obrien kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donovan Wege. The Carlton F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donovan Wege should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute of the match, Bryanne Sinden got a very nice opportunity to score, but Donovan Wege was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. James Obrien might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donovan Wege. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. James Obrien ran back to his position shaking his head. If James Obrien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Carlton F.C's goalkeeper Donovan Wege had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bryanne Sinden. A collision led to Carlton F.C getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Brayden Bailey hit a great ball. Chuck Aylwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donovan Wege made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryanne Sinden in the 80th minute. When Murmungee's Bryanne Sinden in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carlton F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute, Brye Addison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murmungee's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
