Spectators: 6950 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 70) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stan Stevens took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Stan Stevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Rowdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlisle Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Atterton in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Neil Carberry notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pembroke FC's Carlisle Baxter. Carlisle Baxter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stan Stevens scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of James Rowdon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. James Rowdon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnie Walkington in the 23rd minute of the match. James Rowdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martyon Palmington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Island of Ferns's James Rowdon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyon Palmington in the 36th minute of play. If Stan Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pembroke FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Pembroke FC's Stan Stevens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Martyon Palmington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Island of Ferns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pembroke FC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Andre Atterton made the kick off in the second half. Dale Butterworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but James Rowdon made a huge save. In the 60th match minute, Island of Ferns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalwood Bacon to maneuver through the defense. Stan Stevens might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over James Rowdon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stan Stevens ran back to his position shaking his head. Dalwood Bacon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pembroke FC's Larry Solomon tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bartholemew Kennewell's late challenge caught a Pembroke FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartholemew Kennewell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute Andre Atterton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Jeffray Diefenbach sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but James Rowdon skillfully saved the ball. Nichol Trenoweth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes, Arthur Everett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Island of Ferns and the Pembroke FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pembroke FC booed when Island of Ferns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Everett didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnie Walkington during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pembroke FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Arnie Walkington hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Island of Ferns got a freekick which was hit by Brendan Howard. If Neil Carberry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlisle Baxter came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Island of Ferns's Andre Atterton. But to his dismay, Andre Atterton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Pembroke FC's Stan Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes in the game, Stan Stevens fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without James Rowdon having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Pembroke FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Island of Ferns.
