Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Russel Johnson got the match started through his kick off. When Tom Bennett fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perth F.C's protests and gave Tom Bennett a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Perth F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Bennett to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Grove's Barney Muller tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rich Allen in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nash Rosenboom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rich Allen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Rich Allen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grove's supporters rose to their feet, but Rich Allen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nash Rosenboom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Russel Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Martin Gorham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barnard Tinsley got free with Martin Gorham in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmonds Hodson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rolando Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nash Rosenboom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Jobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Bennett kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Barnard Tinsley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perth F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 36 played minutes Perth F.C got a freekick which was hit by Tom Bennett. Nash Rosenboom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rich Allen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rich Allen struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Nash Rosenboom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grove. Tom Bennett hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Perth F.C's zone, Rolando Jobson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nash Rosenboom came out of the goal and Rolando Jobson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rich Allen to make the kick off. Perth F.C's Nash Rosenboom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Perth F.C from getting a goal against them. When Edmonds Hodson fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 55th minute, Edmonds Hodson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Perth F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Allen came free, but Nash Rosenboom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Todd Mclatchey hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Rich Allen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nash Rosenboom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes in the game, Rich Allen dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Nash Rosenboom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Grove's goal looked a bit too open when Russel Johnson came free, but Martin Gorham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russel Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Gorham having to interfere. Rolando Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Perth F.C's Pearce Riley got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
