Corder Grandison's late challenge caught a Coolac's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corder Grandison helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Wallinduc got a freekick which was hit by Corder Grandison. Fleming Carragher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Cullen Travers made a huge save. If Russ Digiuseppe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, Everett Christini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darin Gavin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With splendid footwork Corder Grandison arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 26th minute. Darin Gavin came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Coolac's Everett Christini. But to his dismay, Everett Christini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 34 minutes into the match, Coolac's goal looked a bit too open when Corder Grandison came free, but Cullen Travers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russ Digiuseppe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Dwight Beverley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Coolac's zone, Rick Pywell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cullen Travers came out of the goal and Rick Pywell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cullen Travers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Grandison in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Russ Digiuseppe made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Corder Grandison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 61 minutes, Russ Digiuseppe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Russ Digiuseppe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Everett Christini came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Coolac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everett Christini couldn't finish the play. Allen Matthes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Russ Digiuseppe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cullen Travers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corder Grandison, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. With an all-out effort, Coolac's Darin Gavin threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Russ Digiuseppe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cullen Travers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fleming Carragher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Russ Digiuseppe came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Coolac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Digiuseppe couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Wallinduc's Allen Matthes got a free kick in the 85th minute. Darin Gavin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duke Franklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coolac's Everett Christini got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Coolac walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
