Everett Christini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birrell Gorham having to make a save. Coolac's Russ Digiuseppe got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th play minute Everett Christini came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Birrell Gorham. 1-0. Cullen Travers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Heys in the 32nd minute of the match. Coolac's supporters rose to their feet, but Everett Christini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birrell Gorham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everett Christini might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birrell Gorham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everett Christini ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, one of Tyagarah:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tyagarah. The referee gave Coolac a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duke Franklin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tyagarah's Birrell Gorham. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tyagarah's zone, Everett Christini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birrell Gorham came out of the goal and Everett Christini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Hinwood charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 84 minutes of play Tyagarah's Keith Hinwood was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Everett Christini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birrell Gorham having to interfere. If Everett Christini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bern Baxter kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ Digiuseppe in the 92nd minute of play forced Tyagarah's goalkeeper Birrell Gorham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birrell Gorham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everett Christini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Curtis Mitchell fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolac's protests and gave Curtis Mitchell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Coolac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curtis Mitchell to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Everett Christini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coolac's supporters rose to their feet, but Everett Christini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
