Perth F.C's Nash Rosenboom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everett Christini in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Russ Digiuseppe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nash Rosenboom. Perth F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Russ Digiuseppe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Perth F.C booed when Coolac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curtis Mitchell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Byrne Quinn charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Byrne Quinn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Coolac got a freekick which was hit by Byrne Quinn. With a little luck, Coolac's Cullen Travers got control of the ball when Barnard Tinsley tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd play minute Barnard Tinsley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cullen Travers. 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Barnard Tinsley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cullen Travers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Barnard Tinsley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nash Rosenboom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nero Dillon in the 45th minute of play. Russ Digiuseppe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Nash Rosenboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Russ Digiuseppe made a kick off. Tom Bennett hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Russ Digiuseppe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everett Christini got free with Nash Rosenboom in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Coolac's Everett Christini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nash Rosenboom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everett Christini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nash Rosenboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Coolac getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bernard Wivell hit a great ball. Coolac played a much better game than Perth F.C and deserved their victory. The Perth F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
