The supporters of Garryowen booed when Maryborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackery Leyden didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olin Kesi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Lenard in the 53rd minute of play forced Garryowen's goalkeeper Antonio Smee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Garryowen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buck Bailey to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Smee didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Maryborough's Antony Lenard shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 63 minutes into the match, Maryborough's goalkeeper Aden Shipman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Buck Fynn. Olin Kesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Antony Lenard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corder Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Smee having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antony Lenard in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Smee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Garryowen booed when Maryborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larkin Freeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olin Kesi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Maryborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Larkin Freeman to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Smee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corder Moran in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corder Moran in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Smee saved Garryowen from getting behind. Antony Lenard struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Antonio Smee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maryborough.
