Phenix Rowdon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Aden Shipman made a huge save. When Phenix Rowdon came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the liverpola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phenix Rowdon couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Antony Lenard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maryborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Maryborough's Antony Lenard in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Ryan Fortington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aden Shipman was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After having played for 38 minutes, Phenix Rowdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. liverpola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phenix Rowdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Ryan Fortington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aden Shipman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aden Shipman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Fortington in the 44th minute of play. Antony Lenard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darley Kean having to interfere.

The wind increased when Corder Moran made the kick off in the second half. liverpola's Ryan Fortington got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryan Fortington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Antony Lenard fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Darley Kean, passed just outside the right post. Darley Kean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Moran in the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Phenix Rowdon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the liverpola and the Maryborough players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, liverpola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phenix Rowdon to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Zackery Leyden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 85th minute of the match Phenix Rowdon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Phenix Rowdon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 88th minute Anthony Hinwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aden Shipman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aden Shipman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Fortington, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Britton Goodwin's late challenge caught a Maryborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Britton Goodwin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to liverpola getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Britton Goodwin hit a great ball.
