Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Corder Moran kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Cod Easther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundson Shorten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Moran in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7thth minute of the game Corder Moran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lawlers's Edmundson Shorten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aden Shipman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dugald Kuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larkin Freeman kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Corder Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maryborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corder Moran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Maryborough's goal looked a bit too open when Dugald Kuch came free, but Aden Shipman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Tenser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Dugald Kuch fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 32 played minutes Maryborough got a freekick which was hit by Larkin Freeman. Larkin Freeman took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundson Shorten. Edmundson Shorten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

After 55 played minutes Maryborough got a freekick which was hit by Antony Lenard. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Corder Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maryborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Corder Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundson Shorten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corder Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundson Shorten having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Maryborough's goal looked a bit too open when Dugald Kuch came free, but Aden Shipman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Tenser kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lawlers's goalkeeper Edmundson Shorten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aden Shipman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Tenser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Lawlers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cod Easther to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match Olin Couzens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmundson Shorten skillfully saved the ball. After 79 minutes, Zackery Leyden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maryborough and the Lawlers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zackery Leyden kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Corder Moran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmundson Shorten. That made the score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. Bruno Tenser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Maryborough supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maryborough would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
