The supporters of Rhodes booed when Red Cliffs Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Peterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jared Kuskop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Giles's late challenge caught a Rhodes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bock Clack struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Brayden Babbage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Cliffs Devils. Jared Kuskops short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Michael Jeffress to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 74 minutes of play Red Cliffs Devils's Peter Giles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 74 played minutes Red Cliffs Devils got a freekick which was hit by Peter Giles.
