Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Parker Bowie got free with Benny Sennett in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Nero Ambrose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Wittber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gold Stars's Benny Sennett got control of the ball when Parker Bowie tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rich Egel during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rich Egel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Gold Stars booed when Hynam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacosta Deal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Parker Bowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benny Sennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Norden in the 19th minute of play. Cullen Rummens's late challenge caught a Hynam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cullen Rummens helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Gold Stars got a freekick which was hit by Cullen Rummens. Billy Norden was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Hynam's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 26 minutes into the match, Gold Stars's goalkeeper Benny Sennett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Parker Bowie. Benny Sennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Norden in the 29th minute of the match. Phillip Woodbridge kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute of the game, Antony Hart landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Phillip Woodbridge fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hynam's protests and gave Phillip Woodbridge a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Gold Stars got a freekick which was hit by Nero Ambrose. 1-0 became the score in the 40th minute when Billy Norden elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Billy Norden kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Billy Norden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Sennett having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Nero Ambrose made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Nero Ambrose dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruce Wittber, 1-1. In the 60th minute, Billy Norden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Sennett was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Max Leyden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bruce Wittber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benny Sennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Norden, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Parker Bowie might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benny Sennett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Parker Bowie ran back to his position shaking his head. After recieving a nice pass, Hynam's Phillip Woodbridge tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Benny Sennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parker Bowie, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Gold Stars got a freekick which was hit by Kane Arkinstall. In the 91st minute, Rudolph Dearn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Norden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Sennett having to interfere. Benny Sennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parker Bowie, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Hynam's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
