The supporters of westmanly booed when Fyshwick was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Miller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Carnduff didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Preston Goodbun during the 19th minute. Edwards Newton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Travers, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Preston Goodbun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paco Travers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Warren got free with Brandon Carnduff in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 48 minutes into the match, Paco Travers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwards Newton. westmanly's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paco Travers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
