Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Neale Pukallus took the kick off in the first half of the match. Brandon Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jared Kuskop, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Brayden Babbage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Travers, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Paco Travers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brayden Babbage came out and tried to block the shot, but Paco Travers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Brandon Carnduff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dane Johnston in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Lawrance Boserio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Herman Murphy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brandon Carnduff. Fyshwick's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Murphy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute Herman Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Rhodes's Jared Kuskop made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brandon Carnduff was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Fyshwick defense, Lawrance Boserio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Carnduff. The Fyshwick fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Carnduff should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fyshwick getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Raleigh Muggleton hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Herman Murphy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brandon Carnduff. Fyshwick's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Murphy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 40th minute, Fyshwick's Paco Travers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brayden Babbage. Brayden Babbage yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Paco Travers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Rhodes were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herman Murphy was the one to do the kick off. Paco Travers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Fyshwick's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Murphy came free, but Brandon Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Fyshwick's goalkeeper Brandon Carnduff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jared Kuskop. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Murphy in the 57th minute of play forced Fyshwick's goalkeeper Brandon Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brandon Carnduff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lawrance Boserio in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Fyshwick's Brandon Carnduff got control of the ball when Lawrance Boserio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rhodes's Dane Johnston slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brandon Carnduff. That made the score 2-5 after 64 minutes of play. Paco Travers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Brayden Babbage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abe Ramsay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Brandon Carnduff made a huge save. Jared Kuskop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Brandon Carnduff made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Fyshwick's goalkeeper Brandon Carnduff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jared Kuskop. Abe Ramsay made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lawrance Boserio. Brandon Carnduff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herman Murphy's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The Fyshwick fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rhodes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
