If Jesse Hess had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, 69ers's Loud Skurrie got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jesse Hess fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliot Quelch having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, 69ers's Drew Sparrow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reese King made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Reese King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Locke, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 77th minute, Biggs Millgate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Rufus Czaczka in the 79th minute really tested Reese King's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Drew Sparrow got free with Reese King in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Dululu's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Locke came free, but Reese King reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Dululu's goalkeeper Reese King had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Drew Sparrow. When Biggs Millgate fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dululu's protests and gave Biggs Millgate a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Locke in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reese King saved Dululu from getting behind. Reese King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Locke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
