When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Benjy Brophy sped through Inactive Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paz Coburn. Byrne Czaczka charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Byrne Czaczka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Inactive Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byrne Czaczka to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bryce Boserio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kooringal's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryce Boserio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paz Coburn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjy Brophy during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kooringal's goalkeeper Henry Hinwood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32ndth minute of the game Angelo Adair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inactive Team's Paz Coburn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjy Brophy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Inactive Team's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Adair came free, but Paz Coburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 49 minutes into the match, Billy Bower had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Hinwood. Kooringal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Bower was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Paz Schoenke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kooringal's Henry Hinwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Kooringal from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Amos Marcola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwardo Galvin during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edwardo Galvin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Payne Bower's shot from long distance in the 66th minute was not bad at all, but Kooringal's Henry Hinwood knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Byrne Ambrose took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paz Coburn. Inactive Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Inactive Team's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Adair came free, but Paz Coburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Oreilly's late challenge caught a Inactive Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Oreilly helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kooringal getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Marco Oreilly hit a great ball. If Billy Bower had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kooringal had won after a very even match.
