Eliot Quelch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 柳银风 might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliot Quelch. When 柳银风 got free in front of the goal in the 47th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Eliot Quelch was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Locke to make the kick off.
