Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 69ers's Ian Locke started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, The Z Team's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Sparrow came free, but Sam Aistrope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69ers's Drew Sparrow got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Drew Sparrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Sam Aistrope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Aistrope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Locke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to The Z Team getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Arne Mueller hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Locke in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Aistrope saved The Z Team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ian Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot. 69ers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Locke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sam Aistrope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Locke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Aistrope having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Barney Groves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sam Aistrope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Locke in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loud Skurrie in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Aistrope saved The Z Team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Barney Groves made the kick off in the second half. During the 53rd minute of the match Arne Mueller completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arne Mueller a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to The Z Team getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Berny Pearse hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match 69ers got a corner. The Z Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bryan Rosenboom ran over to the corner to take the kick. Drew Sparrow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Sam Aistrope made a huge save. When Drew Sparrow came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the 69ers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Drew Sparrow couldn't finish the play. Rod Glover received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Eliot Quelch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Aistrope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Locke in the 92nd minute of the match. Rod Glover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliot Quelch having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Z Team fully deserved thier win.
