In the 8th minute Robert Tauschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carson Feutrill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elliott Sibbold came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Melbourne 2023 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliott Sibbold couldn't finish the play. Elliott Sibbold got in the 16th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Art Surman handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Carson Feutrill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Tauschke in the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Shenhua FC - Real Madrid. Anthony Pound stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carson Feutrill. 2-0. 25 minutes into the game, Elliott Sibbold was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melbourne 2023's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shenhua FC - Real Madrid the free kick. A collision led to Melbourne 2023 getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Elliott Sibbold hit a great ball. Dario Kile scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carson Feutrill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Elliott Sibbold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Melbourne 2023's Roy Lowes got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Sibbold in the 37th minute of play forced Shenhua FC - Real Madrid's goalkeeper Art Surman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elliott Sibbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Art Surman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Kile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Carson Feutrill made a huge save. Elliott Sibbold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. Carson Feutrill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Tauschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shenhua FC - Real Madrid's goalkeeper Art Surman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elliott Sibbold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carson Feutrill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Tauschke in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Elliott Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne 2023's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliott Sibbold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Tupman in the 80th minute of play forced Shenhua FC - Real Madrid's goalkeeper Art Surman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elliott Sibbold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Surman having to interfere. When Karl Tinsley came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Melbourne 2023 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Tinsley couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Elliott Sibbold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Surman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Elliott Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne 2023's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Sibbold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Art Surman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niles Dale hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
