The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Kile got free with Rod Mclatchey in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Robert Tauschke managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. In the 41st match minute, Shenhua FC - Real Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bennett Heberle to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Andrews Spurr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rod Mclatchey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niles Dale in the 85th minute of play. Dario Kile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rod Mclatchey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grimulators's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. 92 minutes into the game, Shenhua FC - Real Madrid's Dario Kile nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rod Mclatchey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4.
