Spectators: 7458 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 158) Russell Christian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Russ Byrnes charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Russ Byrnes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Russ Byrnes kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Brendan Swan came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Desarcas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Swan couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Russell Christian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barnes Claringbold was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Matt Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burns Price having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Desarcas got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Samuels. If Brendan Swan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Jackson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendan Swan in the 24th minute of play forced Lambina's goalkeeper Barnes Claringbold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnes Claringbold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brendan Swan went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Brown Limmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Bo Riley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lambina's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Riley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burns Price breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burns Price took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Jackson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matt Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burns Price having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bo Riley was the one to do the kick off. Brown Limmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Bo Riley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lambina's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Riley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burns Price breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matt Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Burns Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Russell Christian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Matt Jackson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desarcas were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Lambina's much stronger midfield.
